I have a JD 790 compact. 30 hp Yanmar. Front end loader. I want to use a log splitter that uses the tractors hydraulic pump. Does anyone know if I can hook up some quick disconnect fittings on the rear lift. The front end loader is an open center.

I think you are going to need the Power Beyond kit to do that. The bigger issue may be the flow rate of the hydraulic pump on the 790. It might be too slow to allow you to operate the splitter at a reasonable pace.

You could use 2 outlets from you're loader to run it but then you couldn't use 1 function of it. I have run a 3pt splitter with my 5103 Deere and it's rated at 11 gal per min to the outlets. I think you're 790 would be much slower.
