Draft Control Adjustment

   / Draft Control Adjustment #21
Wow, I didn't intend to start any arguments.

.....

Second, I apologize Normde for using the wrong terminology. I am familiar with draft control and was told by an employee where I purchase parts that this was draft control. All I was trying to do was ensure that whatever this is was properly adjusted and functioning......

In my manual that second lever is called the draft control but as I said before, it's not a draft control in the sense most of us think of.

Thanks Mickey Fx. California's post makes the most sense. My initial question was simply to determine if this was properly functioning. Apparently, this is a topic of some dispute.

I said I was through but I guess I lied. Edmartin, I'm not upset at all, was meaning to be a little humorous but you couldn't see the smile on my face as I typed the words and I don't think anybody else is upset either. :)

I still don't know what the real question was about:confused:.

Don't worry. This is just a rough audience occasionally - you ought to see them when I say something and reveal I don't know as much as my volubility might suggest! But really it's a decent and friendly bunch. Please don't take offense.

Here's what is in the manual for YM240 (YM2000's US twin).

And here's the thread where I posted it. That was a thread nearly identical to this one.

 Do not take us wrong. We just Agree to Disagree sometimes and I should have made the point at the start of this thread when explaining how the lift works that you do not have a draft control My Bad.:D

California you're a life saver. None of my manuals have any of the info you posted. After looking at the diagrams I can see my position control is completely out of whack. The rod is in the wrong hole and the adjusting nuts are almost completely down to the end of the threads. If it's not too much trouble, can you please measure how far from the end of the rod the nuts are and let me know? I'll get this fixed when I replace the o-ring and plastic sleeve on the hydraulics. Also, thanks for the kind words..... I'm not offended or angry, just surprised at some of the responses to what I thought was a simple question.
