Draft Control on Kubota GrandL series

Draft control is available as an add on kit, depending on your model. You can add it yourself if you know what you are doing. I added on to my L3300, bought the kit used from a dealer who took it off another machine for around $300. I think it was about $600 new.

What are you using the draft control for? What kind of implements? Hard to install?

Why would I need draft control? If I use a plow the manual gives you the connection to the tractor with and without draft control. So my plow should work with or without draft control. But just curious before I tear something up. I see in the manual that draft control keeps the implement following the ground to a certain depth. Without it I assume that the implement will dig as deep as you have it set. Can someone clarify this for me. Thanks to all.

Why would I need draft control? If I use a plow the manual gives you the connection to the tractor with and without draft control. So my plow should work with or without draft control. But just curious before I tear something up. I see in the manual that draft control keeps the implement following the ground to a certain depth. You don't need draft control. You can sense when the plow is under a greater load (greater draft) and lift it out of the ground. With a lot of plowing, draft control does it for you. One less thing to worry about.

You don't need draft control. You can sense when the plow is under a greater load (greater draft) and lift it out of the ground. With a lot of plowing, draft control does it for you. One less thing to worry about.
