Drawbar Tow Capacity

Hey all,My brother n law has a wheel attached to a steel plate wich has some chains on it.If he has a tree that is stubern and tries to digg in...jacks up the tree slips the wheel under it(end near tractor) wraps the chains around and locks them down...Tree then drags no problem.HE uses this because the soil in the creek area is silty and has plenty of white clay...I wonder what that does for the drag factor...?
