How hard is it to swap the complete assembly?

Would it be cost effective to keep the damaged cyl, swap it back in when doing simular activity? and quote the simular jobs with cost of or even divided cost of the cyl?. If you did 4 simular jobs charged 25% of cost to each you recoupe the loss. get more than 4 out of old damaged part, prepay your self for the next "dougism"

Yeah, well, you know how poor I am. In light of that, trust me: A mistake this stupid and costly will NOT be soon forgotten.

I do have a solid track record of making every expensive, stupid mistake in the book one time... but thankfully, it is usually ONLY one time.

I notced one of the posters here mentioned having it brazed then that turned back down to the original diameter. If you are going to spring for a new cylinder anywy why not try that cheaper operation and see what happens. If it works you should save a lot of money. If it doesnt then you wont be out a lot of money and you will have some precious knowledge to pass on to us
