Later view from the road. I have done a little more including gravel that has been added. Fortunately for me I have a creek running in close proximity to the drive that I have been getting my gravel from. The combination of the various size stone and the grit and sand makes for great compaction. I will look tonight for the pictures of the drive graveled.

OK, remember in my last post I said fortunately I have a creek nearby? Well that creek will flood when you have 4 days of monsoon type rain. In this picture you can see just how much the drive was built. I have shored up a couple of low spots on the creek bank where it would overflow.

Wow! That's a nice road /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Mine is a simple deal. 15'+ wide and 70' + long. Later there will b a parking area added to the back for my wifes business. (Pet Chinchilla breeder.) But it's a straight shot with one low spot just past the state highway ditch. I'll try to get some pictures this weekend. (I never seem to make it there before nightfall during the week.) I spoke with ODOT last week. They are planning to redo the ditches this year which should end my water problems on that side. And I have three property levels down to a creek. So as soon as the driveway is in. We're doing some trenching! With the digging I've done so far. Scraping the 8" depth should be doable. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The 360 seems to be a bit of a tank when it comes to working. (Even though it's still a pup with 23 hours on it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif) Like was mentioned though I'll get some photo's this weekend. Thanks again ALL! That's what I really like about this forum. Tractor people stick together and help eachother! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree that your tractor will do a nice job of installing the driveway. Seeing that you driveway is close to the size that I have already installed, here is a picture of what you pile of dirt might look like when done. About 6' high and about 16' diameter. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just curious; you say 50 X 70 X 8. After you excavate will you have stone delivered? By my estimation you need about 40 ton. Where I am, that's close to two tri-axles worth. If that's how you're doing it will they at least "gate spread" it for you when they deliver? I know that it will have to be dry, I don't think they wold want to back into wet new excavation.

That was 15' x 70' x 8". I got it all dug out last night. Added 5 more hours to the tractor but everything was nice and dry so it went faster than I thought! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif From my estimates I'm putting about 20 ton on the base and 15 ton on top. I don't recall the stone numbers but it's around 3" size base and 1" size with dust on top. Base should be dumped today. They can't tailgate spread much. The ground is still a bit soft but the company said they will have it close. So I'll level that tonight and the finish stone goes on Friday. Although I did have to stop the driveway shorter than planned for now. It will work good to start. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
