I have a ranch. The highest gutter is 18 feet

Just under 400 feet of gutter and I was done in about 90min. That included blowing the gutters, launching the drone and blowing out the bad spots a 2nd time

Quit doing that 2 years ago. Installed gutter guards. Nice picture if it's a drone photo. Extremely high resolution.

Richard... You are the Captain of your own ship...... You get your EVO II yet?

I've already admitted on public media that I violate almost every time I fly. Today for example.

Yep, have flown an hour or a bit more. I'll practice sage flights for a few hours to hone my response skills to match the Drone. Then I'll try some technical stuff.

I've probably violated the 400 foot ceiling rule more than once myself. It's easy to climb past 400 feet with the EVO in Ludacris mode. Don't watch the altitude that closely on the tablet screen. I see the EVO II uses the same controller as the EVO I. I bought a Lifthor mount and run my Lenovo Tab 10.1 instead of a cell phone. Did you get a Dual or the standard. I'd like to have thermal imaging but it's a bit past the limits of my bank account.

I found a link on an Aussie website that suggested just that. Yet on other sites is says no night flying. I must spend some time looking for that again.
Meantime, I do. :)

Just bought standard. Have no use for thermal.

So far I'm using my cell phone. The viewer on the controller is much improved so I get my flight data from there. Very easy to see. Only use the phone screen for camera view.

Where did you get your tablet holder? I might get one so I can compare my tablet to phone.

What are people using for finding drones in trees?
I've only a Mavic Mini and fly in forested areas on my land WITH the prop guards on. But I'm still very apprehensive about losing it up in a tree. And not knowing which tree to cut down. The "drone finder" part of the FLY app apparently is good but not good enough, and many have spent a long time searching when the drone is close but not visible.
I'm thinking of getting some Lit paint and a Tile Sticker.
The paint and binder is expensive and the sticker is about $20@ but that's the cost of protection.

I can't speak for the EVO. My X Star could be located using the controller data. I think it would have gotten me close enough to visually find it.

Other than a catastrophic failure of some kind the Drone will generally take care of itself. The available data will keep the pilot informed of all critical things such as distance, battery reserve, etc. The Drone will even try to take over and RTH if it calculates there's a problem.

I had some battery problems with the X Star where it would go from 40%/15 minutes of flight time to "critical land" instantly. Fortunately that never happened to me when I was a long distance from the Drone. I number my batteries which becomes valuable as they get older and individually develop a pattern of discharge. I only have one battery left for my X Star that I can depend on. Which resulted in my purchase of the EVO II.

The X Star had a small circle symbol on the viewer screen with a Delta Wing in the center. The DW indicated direction the drone was facing. Made it easy to come home. Always knew which direction home was.

I don't recall seeing that on the EVO screen.

Another mystery. I have no way to change the camera lighting. So if the screen view appears too dark for example, I can't lighten it. Maybe I'm just missing it amidst all the other stuff. The X Star used a roller operated with my right index finger.

That's what I've been looking for but I just can't find a kit to fit my Sthil BR600 blower.

Just to keep this drone-related, I'd like someone to bring their drone over so I could see how stable it is when I point my BR600 at it...

Autel has the X-Star batteries on sale...

I got mine direct from Lifthor and it's really nice. It's all anodized aluminum and carries the Autel controller and my Levovo 10.1 Android tablet nicely plus it has a tripod mount and lanyard loop built in I put the sunshade on the tablet too. I'd have bought a Crystal Sky but they are way too expensive.

When you get older, you need every advantage....lol

Only disadvantage is, Lifthor is in Sweden so shipping takes a while.

I believe that is in the options menu.
