If we had to choose one of the three choices, I would choose DST all year long. BUT, it really doesn't matter a whole lot to me any more. I don't get up or go to bed by a clock any more, so I really don't care much.

I always considered it Daylight Losing Time because just as I am beginning to see the sun as I drive to work, the time changes and I lose an hour of daylight in the morning. I don't need daylight at 10:00 p.m. I don't remember much of what Governor Mitch Daniels did when he was in Office, however I will never forget that he signed the bill reenacting Daylight Saving Time. And it is not a good memory. He promised that Indiana would see millions of dollars from business investment. I don't know if that's true, I doubt it. It didn't do anything for me, except I lose an hour of daylight every spring.

Super Stupid for Alaska when it hardly even gets dark in the summer. No benefit either during the dead of Winter when we only have about 6 hours of daylight.

I have blinking digital clocks all over the house and between the power bumps and DST, it has become a losing battle trying to keep everything set.

I know what that's like. I worked in Clinton Creek for a full year back in 1972-1973, roughly 150 miles farther north than where you are but in the Yukon of course.

Yep! In the mill specifically first as a pressure packer operator and then as a floorwalker.

Yep. There's 4 counties to our west, from here to Chicago, that are in the CST and stayed on Chicago time year round, as they do more business with Chicago. And there's some counties down in Southwest Indiana that are in the CST, too.

For that matter, my inlaws live about 5 miles southwest of us. They are in the EST, but depending on where you stand in their yard, and which cell tower you hit, your phone can pick a tower out of the CST and change your clock without you noticing. So I disabled auto time zone on most of the familys' phones just because of that. I had a friend that owned a house about 5 miles north of us. His back yard fence was the Indiana/Michigan state line. If he walked out his front door, his phone would be on EST. If he went out into his backyard, it would switch to CST.

I used to work out of Vincennes but had another office in Princeton. In the summer when Princeton was on DST I went to work at 7 am but in the winter went to work at 8 because if I went to work at 8 in Vincennes and called somebody in Princeton it was 7. Was working there when somebody in the legislature was trying to change DST in IN to just 30 minutes. So it would of been like 10 in Ohio, 9:30 in IN and 9 in IL.
