listen 2 me my friend..........call the power co!!!!!!!!!!!!ask for the construction dept>>>but b4 u let her transfer u ask her 4 the name of the construction dept supervisor.....!!!are'nt u all tired of dealin with the no brainers that jist answer the jphone!!! and if your really clever you'll git his exteension ################!!!!!! cmon guys were TBN'S here!!!! go to the top !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if u have a question always goto the top!!! and make sure u git his ext######...if u git a machine callem back and say" Yes this is mr. schmukelldeduck tryin to git u for an answer about your negative radon reading in you basement!!!leave your ## and i guarantee he"ll call u back asap!!! then jist tell him youll meet him at IHOP and i guarantee he''ll b there.....

I'm about a month or so away from my project so that gives me time to try and get in touch with the proper people. If I get nowhere with them, I'll just go to the State.

If your power was installed correctly, there should be a tracer tape about 6" - 12" below the ground where the line is buried. I would start at the pole where it goes underground with a shovel and see how far down it is buried. Then do the same thing at the meter end. Once you have established the depth at both ends, it is usually safe to assume that it is the same for the run between the pole and the meter. You can also determine if the run looks like a straight shot between the two. If there is any doubt, and you have to dig in the area, then ask them to break the power at the pole so you can do the excavation and then do a reconnect later in the day. If they don't know where it is, you don't want to gamble and hit a live wire, risking the chance of electrocution. They should also not charge for this service, since it is up to them to know where the line is exactly. If there is any doubt, have the service pulled..... better safe than dead!
Also check with the telephone company, sometimes they have better records. Usually they are buried along each other. The other thing that is usually a good sign of where the lines are is that they are usually backfilled with sand above the conduit....

And one of them came off of 2 weeks vacation after having his 3rd child...Carolyn suzanne......woh is now 10....and to top it all off ........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!he was one of the best men I'VE EVER KNOWN AND ONE OF THE MOST LOVING FATHERS AND CARING PEOPLE !!!!!!!!! out of thousands that i've met!!!!!

TODD HALL a lineman at yer beck and call ) See there? I told you he's a nice man. And that post wasn't too hard Todd. I knew about the phone line's electricity. I don't remember exactly how it happened, it was so long ago, but I got a little jolt while fooling around with the phone box once. I don't like the feeling of even a little electricity. Just isn't fun. One of my brothers used to have an old crank phone generator that he'd hook wires to and chase us around and shock us. That was enough shocks for me to last a lifetime! Thanks Todd.
