Dumb Question

I'm sure this is a dumb question but here it goes.
How do you get the hydraulic power to run a FEL.?
I have a Case 480 backhoe and I think I might sell it and just get a FEL for my YM 2000BD. But, I don't have any quick connects for the hydraulic lines for a FEL.
I know this is a REALLY dumb question but if I don't ask I'll never know. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

On my 1500D there is an adapter that splices/feeds off the lines running to and from the pump located at the front of the engine. This setup does have a tendence of dropping a heavy impliment when using the FEL if your rpms are not high, but I have not found it to be a problem. If you remember to use the locking knob then it is not a problem at all. I am sure one of the top notch dealers on this forum would be able to supply you with the correct parts and the matching FEL for your model.

Not a dumb question. You have to "Tap" into your high pressure line by either brazing or using compression (metric) fittings (2) that go to your controller.

The simplest way to add hydraulics is to cut the pressure line (small line from the hydraulic pump). Braze on fittings or compression fittings can be used to fasten the hoses to. Run the pump line to the IN on the valve. Run the OUT to the line to the 3 point on a 2 hose system. On a 3 hose Power Beyond valve run OUT to the transmission housing & the PBY to the line to the 3 point. The best system is to use the PBY system.
