Dump trailer charger

my sure-trac 7x12 12k came with a automatic charger. Is your trailer new? and why didn't it come with a charger?

Sure-trac has good customer service. I sent them a message one night about the lid flopping down and getting smashed if the user wasn't paying attention and the next morning, I got a call from head quarters.

It's a 2015 model but I bought it used. It might have been removed. The only thing that was there was a small solar charger.

My new Big Tex dump didn't have a charger either. It's not even an option.

It says "Complete Break-A-Way System w/Charger" under standard features.

I am guessing they are talking about the tow vehicle having the ability to charge the brake away system while in transit.

I'm pretty sure that is what it means. I called my dealer shortly after I bought it and asked about a charger. The bigger/heaver dumps have one built in at the factory. I can't buy that one from my dealer. I'll use one of my old ones for now.

My new Diamond C deck over power tilt came with an 8-10@ 110v charger. The dealer said they upgraded them over the stock 3@ units. I won't be hitting mine hard with lots of tilts per day so I dropped a 20 watt solar panel & charge controller on it. I'm hoping I don't have to work about plugging it in at all & the solar will get it back to full within a day or 3 after a day of heavy use.
