The attachments are the two components required for the priority flow control system for a D03. You will also need longer mounting bolts of the appropriate size. These are typical either 10-24 or 5 mm.

This sandwich block or stack module will meter the flow into P port and bypass the excess flow to tank.

You will have to check with your local Sun distributor for availability.

I have six dumps fully heaped with wet clay and not a problem or even a slow down.

I’m surprised a cylinder that small is capable of lifting the bed up and lifting high enough to dump. Care to post a picture? Here’s a dump I built with a much bigger cylinder and it has trouble dumping a big load. It’s a 4 or 4.5x45” a little shorter would actually be better. My other truck has a 5x30” cylinder.

There are a dozen answers that will work.

The cylinder is probably ;
1) the lowest cost to implement (especially if you happen to find a suitable cylinder on eBay for $39)
2) most reliable
3) easiest to implement
4) easiest to remember how to use
5) will result in the most user satisfaction

2 inch cylinder would be around 9 seconds vs 5 seconds for 1 1/2 inch

Since the picture of power unit shows D03 style valve you can purchase stack modules with priority flow control that mount between the valve and subplate no extra plumbing required

Note: if gravity down this will not change down time

If a larger cylinder is used I would suggest lowering the pressure so that you don’t bend or destroy your dump trailer.

Lift force = pressure times cylinder area

Examples
1 1/2 inch bore and 2000 PSI = 3500 lbs

2 1/2 inch bore at 2000 PSI = 9800 lbs
