Dump trailer update

/ Dump trailer update #11
Wouldn't want a counter weight as that would reduce your overall towing capacity but they DO make side dumps that alleviate SOME of the c of g problem /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

You can always pull forward. You can't dump higher than the bed is off the ground if that makes sense.
A dump truck makes bigger piles because the bed is higher off the ground.

Pulling forward will not change the position of the weight behind the rear axle. That just lets you spread as you dump.

Load shifting picking up the back end of a pickup is an almost impossibility unless the operator is being flat stupid. About the only load that will hang up as you tip is sticky mud, or a load that froze in the trailer. Either can be handled easily by installing a vibrator on the dump bed.
Anybody who continues to tip a hung load expecting gravity to discharge it is a complete fool and shouldn't be driving so much as a bicycle. If the load isn't dumping at 30 degrees of tilt, you stop tipping and find out why.
