Thanks for the suggestions. Getting stuck isn't too big an issue for what I'm doing since I can get anything on wheels out real easy. It's the big dozer that I worry about getting stuck!!!!
I'm still looking at different trucks. I'm not in a rush yet to buy the truck, so that's nice. Once I get the trees cleared, or at least knocked down, then I'll start moving dirt.
My place has red clay with a few variations on that color. No rock or sand at all. I do have some huge dirt piles left over from WWII when the Army owned my land and used it for a rifle range.
One of these piles in particular has to be moved. Fortunately, my lake site is just down the hill from it. I plan to use this to build my dam and as fill material.
