That was my assumption. Most people ignore those warnings. Good on you for following the recommendation.
What is even worse it the people that think they can just replace the factory hitch that required a WD for over 5-600 pound TW with say a 15000# rated hitch that doesn't require a WD and think they are good. I am also wondering how they get around the WD system on the newer pickups that claim no WD required even towing 15000#. How did they get it set up so it doesn't unload the front axle.
Toungue weight is dif that total trailer weight. Load your trailer correctly and you wont need a WD hitch.
Agreed. The only thing I that I do to dump or after dumping is reduce the trailer brake gain due to the lighter load. The only reason I would remove the bars is if you are traveling on bumpy roads. On mine the empty dump trailer seems to bounce a bit more with them on, but it is typically not an issue in my travels so I leave them on. And anything less than filling the dump trailer to it's weight capacity is just wasting time, trips, and fuel if you have multiple loads.You don’t need to do anything in order to dump you trailer. Leave the bars attached.
