I think people assumed I knew that much. I told them this did not have any linkage on it. Personally I would rather have someone snap “I knew that!”, than have things drag on because I held back something.

The manual showed it, but not very clearly. And it was not described.
I am following your thread on Pirate as well, I hadn't thought of that linkage being MIA or I would have suggested that earlier.

These diagrams do show it.

Edit: The last one makes it clear.

I am contemplating bolting something like this on in place of the rear weight, this would also be a weight.

Yep, that is a good weight.

It would keep you from waiting for help if you got stuck :D.

I was thinking of using it to pull downed trees out into the open, so I can work with them. But yeah, it could do self recovery too. I would need another valve for it. I need one for the grapple I am thinking of getting. I could do a double auxiliary valve, instead of a single valve. Get both done at once.

A local place got bucket teeth, pins, and adapters/shanks for me. They are not what they are supposed to be. Supposed to be for an 1-1/8 lip. The smaller part towards the tooth end is 1.0 inch, the rest is way bigger. He showed me what he ordered in the book, the part number matching what he got is for an 1-1/8 lip. So I can not blame him, the book is wrong. The book also showed one opening width for the lip, and the mounting holes far apart. So it is all different.

He did not even catch it, I did. When I first told him they were not right, he kept loading them in my truck. Then I got a tape out of the glove box, and told him these are not what I asked for, I can not use them. That got his attention. He called the supplier right away, they asked him for pictures. He is gonna try and get something that will work. He also offered to ask for a discount, and I could make them work somehow.

When I started, the fine adjust was backed all the way off. I could not even get the pin in. Then I had to tighten it a lot to get a range of motion.

Welded three spots on the parking brake lever, so the pedal will not spin. I should be able to have a working parking brake now.

Parking brake works, finally. It holds on our driveway hills. Forward and back. Had to get it really tight to hold. I had to clean out the brake drum, from when the steering hydraulic control valve above it started leaking again last December. I hung a funnel with a hose under the steering control valve, to divert any leak. In case it starts leaking again. I know “red neck“, but I can’t take any chances on the brake letting go. That wouldn’t be pretty.

I‘ve already made use of it, to hold in place while I rig and lift the oak logs I plan to have milled into lumber. I wanted them off the ground, I cut and put about 10” logs under them.
