I just finished reading through the "what engine is in your yanmar" and it seems that there are a lot of different engines that were used. I have been looking for an engine for my YM226d, engine #3T75HA, and I was wondering if there is any kind of cross reference between all the engines yanmar made that would show which ones are compatible replacements or direct replacements from model # to model #, ie would a 3T72HA or 3T84HA be an exact replacement for the 3T75HA since maybe only the bore is different?

I am assuming this is the same engine you threw the rod through the block on a couple of years ago. Have you called Hoye and asked them about any other engines fitting yours or if they have a parted out 226? If you haven't you might also give Danny Parker a call. He is about as knowledgeable on these Yanmars as anyone I know. Untitled

Is Danny Parker at Hoye? I have checked with them before and they had one but wanted more for it than I paid for the tractor. I just can't imagine with all of the different engines yanmar has made that some would not bolt up to the same applications as others.

Aaron runs Hoye, and posts here occasionally. Hoye has the widest stock of replica parts. Fredricks may be just as good, for example they are the firm that contracted to have certified ROPS made for import Yanmars. I haven't seen them post here.

Danny at PEQ is one of the Yanmar specialists with a boneyard of tractors, even including YM2200 (a while back). He might have what you need. He also seems to be the go-to repair shop for the farmers in his area so he has decades of hands on experience with Yanmars.

Coldwater tractors is showing a 3T75H-C engine. Their sight hasn't been updated in over a year but it might be worth a call. No idea what the engine came out of or whether it would fit your 226 or not. Coldwatertractors.com
