1) 40 amps Max Inrush current at 220 V, 36 A at 240V.
2) Weight is approximately 30 lbs. I don't have a weight with/without, just standard weight of unit. Since we made the unit with 2 ports, it has lightened up a little.
3) I am not sure which the Canadians use. We have been using the stub type. But it does flip back and forth from time to time, depending upon our cost.
4) Its not any harder than any other brand, and attaches the same way. Its simply a set screw that holds the cable in. It should take about 5 minutes max.

ok thanks. We only have 30 amps in our shop, but I will just do what I do with the buzz box, and not turn it up all the way. I have looked at a few machines, and so far the everlast is winning. I was just asking about changing the stinger as I have never done that with any machine, and I wasnt sure how hard it is. If I do get it, I will post a review on here.

What ever is practical for you (within reason) would be good. I have a guy running a 1000 foot on some PA 200's in Canada on sky scrapers.(Did not recommend that much...but he did it anyway) But I'd say on the little unit, 50 foot would be something reasonable to expect. You may need to run a little hotter, if you go too far and don't increase cable size. There are charts available on the net to get your proper wire size.

how does your pp50 compare to a northern industrial 375? what do you want for one?

Not sure they really are comparable.

The PowerPlasma puts out 50 amps.
The Northern tool puts out 40.

We have a digital gauge for setting amps.
There's does not.

We use a standard available Trafimet torch connector.
Theirs do not.

Ours will sever cut up to 7/8". Online we have videos of it cutting more than that actually.
They state theirs will cut only 3/8". In their q and a section they seem to firmly state this is the maximum. I suspect it will cut a little more.

Ours has a low air pressure cut out.
Theirs?

We use name brand electronics internally.
Much of what I have seen from some of the NT broken units online is that they have quite a few generic components.

We have adjustable Post Flow cooling.
Theirs is fixed.

Ours is CNC compatable, complete with a CNC port.
Theirs, while essentially the same torch, does not have a CNC port.

Mark, Are the Powerpro 205 units in stock?

No. ETA is about 3.5 weeks. I still recommend the individual units over the combination machines. It seems people are always more happy buying the separate units. With that said the PPRO 205 is a decent little unit.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks.

Its a PPro 256...not a 205. The 205 is a better unit in my estimation for what they are designed for.
