1) 40 amps Max Inrush current at 220 V, 36 A at 240V.
2) Weight is approximately 30 lbs. I don't have a weight with/without, just standard weight of unit. Since we made the unit with 2 ports, it has lightened up a little.
3) I am not sure which the Canadians use. We have been using the stub type. But it does flip back and forth from time to time, depending upon our cost.
4) Its not any harder than any other brand, and attaches the same way. Its simply a set screw that holds the cable in. It should take about 5 minutes max.
