I just looked out the window, no snow here. That should buy you at least a couple minutes... Jammer needs to relax.

Phone messaging and email is like a filter, if someone can't leave a message stating their point, I find they're usually up to wasting time. In my business, having someone state what they want from me, or emailing it, gets way more accomplished.
Anyway, that's how it seems to me... YMMV.

Why would you filter someone who wants to buy your product if you are trying to make money, not ignore a old girlfriend. Your post is old in mindset and will cost you money and any future for sure.

Jake is offering his opinion. He is does not work for Everlast. I don't screen. If I can't get to a call and I am with another customer, or not at my desk, I don't pick up. But otherwise, it is first come first served. Compared to Miller, we are still a small business, but we are growing exponentially, and sell more welders than most of our US based import competition combined.

Jamming, you certainly have your right to your opinion and freedom to purchase from whom you choose. We do our best with the personnel resources we have, and make sure that each employee skills and resources are optimized. That ensures a lower cost of operation, and long term survival. It means we don't have a bunch of people just sitting around waiting on a sale, driving up our operating costs, and the price the customer has to pay. In this economy, a relatively small business (compared to the major competition) has to be efficient. Miller, and others have had massive layoffs. We have not, and we have added people while doubling, and even tripling sales over the last couple years. We may be loosing some sales, I'd agree. But the ones who buy speak for themselves when they buy.

I cannot and will not tell you that you are wrong...as I said, you have the right to buy from a company that has people sitting around, idle waiting for a Monday morning, opening hour phone call. I too like to get a live person everytime I call a company. That USED to be how it was years ago. It's a different age now. Just-in-time philosophy has been taking over more than in the parts delivery systems to run lean, and maximize the resources of the companies.... But you have to ask yourself...why do "others" have plenty of people sitting around idle, especially companies that I know are typically smaller than us? I think you'll find your answer soon after your purchase, unless I miss my guess.

I don't have a dog in this race ... just an opinion. This is 2012 the modern days of email and voicemail ... if you don't leave a message or contact info in an email well just how do they know who you are and what you want?

I run a small business and do try to answer the phone ... sometimes I'm with a customer or on the phone or in the bath room or having lunch or maybe just don't feel like answering and if you want to do business with me ... leave a message.

I talk so much on the phone ... most of the time I'd rather email or recieve emails and thats documented...I can always look back and see what my email discussions have been.

 Me too. Mainly cuz I have a horrible memory and need a way of looking it up. Haha Can't look up a phone conversation to refresh the memory... maybe we'll have that in another few years. lol

Guys,

Here is something a lot of you have been waiting for:

Starting today: Across the board 20% off to members of TBN until further notice. The only item excluded from the sale is the PowerTig 250EX. But if you want one, let me know, as we will still give a good price break on it as well.

Give me a call below if you want a welder or plasma cutter or pm me your contact information, and I'll give you a call.

No, sales aren't slow, but it is part of our new "aggressive" campaign for 2012.

Its a good time to buy that MIG or Stick welder you have been wanting...Or if you still see through the rhetoric by the Hypertherm sales pitch by our own resident hypertherm employee/owner (11th in the pecking order as he has mentioned elsewhere), that plasma cutter.

Thanks.
