Dan,
There's a "chart" on the side of the welder that gives you the volt/amp values at several points along the way as well as duty cycle at each point and min/max voltage at min/max amp setting.

Thanks, forgot about that. Not as good as a full graph, but still helpful.

I'd like to get more info. on that 200st. The website doesn't list it as dual voltage, but on other forums it is mentioned that it is. And does it use a seprate 6010 port? TBN price?

Do you have another work clamp and cable you could try? Just trying to reduce any possibility.
Yes, I can try the other set i have next weekend. The stinger is a 200 amp from tweeco, the ground clamp is the one that came with the machine. The cables are 4ga welding cable, 10' and 15'. The dinse connectors are the ones that came with the machine. I've never felt any undue heat at any of the connections. I will re-check as soon as i can. And I will try another work camp too.

It doesn't account for the arc force control, but the arc force should kick in when volts drop to 20 or so. That's why we tell people to "push" in when they want to pull out. Arc force response can't be as strong on 120V as it is on 240V, because of the limited availability of input amps, and well, volts. Only so much wattage it can generate.

The 200ST comes without the TIG package but does have the lift tig capability. It does use a separate port.

Sounds good. I don't need TIG on this kind of unit. I'm going to mess arround with it some more this weekend an then decide if I want to get the 200st. If I do, would you be willing to take the PA140 and try it out? If it's good you could let someone have it on me, if it's bad could you knock a little off the price of a 200st?
And does it have the same size dinse connectors as thr PA140?

Just checked this afternoon. The 200ST are out of stock for another 16 days or so. But we do have the old non ST 200's coming in as well at that time, which is the higher duty cycle. Seems people just can't get enough of them and like the higher duty cycle. The dinse connectors on the 200's are 35 series, not the smaller 3/8" 25 series.

I'm pretty sure we can make things right whatever you decide. The 200ST are a little higher than the 200's at 399.00.

Re: Everlast Welders

....... Remember, Most European and Asian manufacturers are making Electronics that are years ahead of us here in the US. ( They make Electronics, We Buy them. ) I know it's hard to swallow that Miller and Lincoln may not be the most advanced products but if you research this you will be suprised. Plasma may be a different story but Mig and Tig is not.

Trust ....... but VERIFY!

So those other 200's, how are they diffrent other than the higher duty cycle. Are they still dual voltage?

Has anyone had any luck trying to order anything from everlast lately or has the company folded up?
I recently tried to order parts for an Power I-MIG 200. Then, a day after the payment was accepted I was informed by pay-pal that my account had been refunded and that the item was unavailable..
