Guys, There's a lot of nay sayers out there that like to try to portray us as a company with limited goals, capability and low end product line. We now have distribution on 6 continents, with both industrial and DIY products, and we're growing more. We aren't here to rip off or copy another product line to piggyback sales. No, We're doing our own thing and doing our dead level best to set the pace for a global welding industry. Here's the most recent development from our European division...This truck will be traveling throughout Europe and visiting shows in the future. Hopefully we'll soon have something in the U.S. to match.

Mark, Do you have welder that I can run off of my 6500watt Generac generator. Look at mainly stick welding.

Is it rated as Clean powered?

Do not understand clean powered. It has 8125watts max output motor starting watts.120/240vac Rated amperage 54.2/27.1 . It also has a automatic voltage regulation.

You can google "clean power" generators for more info, but basically it means a pure sine wave, with less than 5% total harmonic distortion of the sine wave. Generac has some models that are clean and some that aren't...but you'd need to consult them or your manual to find out.

It still must say clean power...What you have quoted is an advertising blurb designed to promote value in the customers minds. It doesn't mean it's clean powered. Generac KNOWS which units are clean powered and which are not. Clean powered generators are more expensive than standard models. They publish it if it is clean power typically because they know that certain forms of generator power are fine for running lights grinders and motors, but not for electronics. If you wouldn't plug your computer into it, then it is not clean power. Their GP series is NOT clean power. Their XP and iX series are rated as clean power. But again, they may have newer/older models that I am not aware of. Somewhere they have used the word "True Power" and refer to it as "less than 5% total harmonic distortion". Other places they refer to it as clean power. But they will tell you clearly (as customers have reported to me) that their GP series is NOT good for electronic devices.
