Just checking to see if anyone has purchased the ETA landscape rake. I think they're kind of new and am interested in one. Thoughts?

I guess that answers my question.:)

I don't have their rake (I think it just became available), but I do have theiir loader forks and middle buster. I am very happy with both. They both are well built, for reasonable prices and they were very easy people to deal with. If I were looking for a rake, their's would be at the top of my list. Remember, their prices included delivery within a 1,000 miles.

Kind of, sort of. Their free delivery is to business with a loading dock, residential you pay shipping. Though I do agree that they are great people to do business with.

UPDATE on my post. Just ordered a Box Blade from Everything Att. Free shipping to a terminal near to my residence; I pick it up from there. I've been on the phone twice with EA, they are awesome to deal with.

I think a while back they offered a free shipping discount code for TBN members...

Well I checked at out local Orscheln farm store today. They 'think' they can get me a King Kutter 7' for $495.00. Minus 5% on Wednesdays.

That's good, let us know how it works out... (ps. don't forget photos ;))

I'll do that.

Looks pretty nice, especially for the price I would have liked to see a stronger main beam though. That S-shaped piece just doesn't look that beefy. I'd have prefered a box true angle beam rather that a bent piece. Workmanship looks pretty good except for the atrociously bad welds on the wheel spindle - see photo attached. Hopefully, the rest was put together better.

Lol on that weld. Presumably that one got by them and it was a test rig for the photos. Urgly!

If you plan on using this much, or heavy use, you really need to be looking at ones that are quite a bit better. Your M7040 is going to mangle anything that is not truly heavy duty. Don't end up paying for it twice.

One of the things that those of us that have bigger tractors always need to consider is that many of the implements out there just won't hold up to our tractors. You may want to be looking at this one. It will at least match your RBT3596 blade. More money, but at least you wouldn't have to treat it with any special care.

Just my :2cents:

I agree that the L P is the better rake but i dont plan on using it much. I will be using in on the FEL with the adapter i'm making to drag our drive and yard to get ready for planting grass. I dont think i want to pay what LP wants for one. Thanks though.:)

I agree about the cost, and if you have a couple of jobs in mind and that's all, you will most likely be fine. But if you have many-many projects that you will use it for, I doubt that it will hold up. I know that when I bought my landscape rake I figured that it's a rake with flexible tines, how strong does it really need to be? Answer, a whole lot stronger than it was. Mine had channel iron where the tines are and another channel iron holding the tines in place. That channel iron twisted up like a churro without all that much use. I was able to rebuild it, mounted new channel onto a 7x4x3/8 tube. No more twisting.

I think that Fred Cain landscape rakes are about the best of the more economical rakes out there. Harder to find though.

Just trying to give you a heads up on what may happen. ;)

You're probably right. I'd better get something worth while. No dealers close to here though and shipping will eat me up. Gonna check with Ken though.

One more thought. How about ABI. Anyone tried one of these?
Landscape Rake, York Rake, Landscaping Rake, Rock Rake ::ABI Attachments::

Looks ok, that solid bar sure adds some weight. I prefer tubing though, harder to twist tubing. Seems like each design has its strong points along with some weak points. Sort of trying to pick the one that has the fewest design flaws.

I hope that whatever one you get, that you let us know how it works out for you, god or bad. Good luck.

I will let you know. I think i will call ABI tomorrow and see if they will cut a little better deal if i buy the rake and box scraper.:licking:

Just a friendly reminder, you get what you pay for. I don't think that their box blades are all that good. You really should be looking at something that is at least 1,000lbs for your tractor, not 500+lbs. I guess that you may get your monies worth, but I doubt that it will hold up and you will be either repairing it or buying a new one down the road. Can't say as that I have ever seen an 80 or 100hp tractor with a cat 1 hitch and that is what they have listed for their 84" & 96" box's. You didn't buy an economy tractor, don't know how long the economy implements are going to last you.

Good luck ;)
