my point is, as an old person you are a grumpy old nit picker

Thank you!
You are very understanding, and kind!

Don't blame EA, blame the trucking company. Your address is listed as a residential address, their address is listed as a business address.
The trucking company charges more to deliver to a residential address than to a business address.
Titan is eating the extra cost to deliver to a residential address.

As I understand, they build them, send them to paint and they ship them, no delay added, they say that the backlog is due to the time it takes to make them.
They recently moved to a new shop so that they build, paint and ship under the same roof (vs trucking them across town to paint and ship), so they should be eating into the backlog unless demand has increased as well.

Yeah, it used to shorter - much shorter in fact, but then the "cult" grew ....and there was whole thing about demand growing faster than the size of the business could (prudently) grow.

Cult grew or the number of customers willing to loan EA money for 6 to 8 weeks grew? EA will not tell you that is their business model when happy customers keep lining up. It is just capitalism and EA is making the most of it. You can get a custom automobile delivered in 5 to 8 weeks which is a whole lot more involved than a Grapple. EA cannot get on top of Grapple production in how many years now? Really? Why should EA shorten up the wait time? I am surprised they do not lengthen it to use more customer money given that there is a new EA customer born every day.

You are welcome, I try!

The last time I ordered a custom built truck it took from March 31 until June 18 to get it. Nothing fancy or exotic and no changes to the order. That is somewhat longer than the 5 to 8 weeks you mentioned. The manufacturers of automobiles have more than one assembly plant EA only has one. EA’s quality is superior as well. By the way the dealer didn’t deliver to my house for the $ 1600+ for shipping.

I propose to all you less than "understanding" individuals, go and start your own implement business and build and sell these items with YOUR policies.......

Lets see how you survive......

A person does not have to like all aspects of a business to buy from them. A person also has the rights to voice those gripes and still do business. Without that how will a business know what needs to change and improve in the thoughts of their customers. I highly suspect that EA offers the freight policy that they have do to other competitors business practices, and what they think their customer base will need to buy their product and not the completion. Titans free delivery to anyone’s door is a heck of a sales gimmick and a factor in ones purchase of products and money spent.

I am a happy EA customer. That does not mean that EA cannot improve their service to be even better. I suspect the large amount of money they have probably spent in new production facilities is a example of EA’s attempt at improving their customer service.

Give EA a few more years and perhaps they will also have the production line facilities needed to meet the needs of those with poor planning and McDonalds shopping habits :)

Check the loan interest rates. I would be very surprised if EA is making a LOT of money from interest on the payments they receive.
