Most of the water for Lake Mead comes from upstream in the Rockies. They need lots of moisture there, Lake Powell gets it first. Not sure how they decide how much to let out of Powell to Mead.
Is it true they are going to rename your state Native Americana?North east Indiana seems to be the wettest summer I remember in a long time
The grass is a gorgeous emerald green.
Thursday morning I went out and checked my rain gauge, 3/4 of an inch, I ran into town at noon and got home, there was another 3/4 of an inch.
Unless one of my neighbors is peeing in my rain gauge the aqua just keeps coming!

Same here in Central Arkansas. Normally we would have been under a burn ban since the 1st of July.North east Indiana seems to be the wettest summer I remember in a long time

Totally different than anything we have here on the east coast. I've done a few western road trips, and enjoyed visiting the desert country (mostly Nevada & Utah), but not sure I'd want to live there.Desert life is different. Some people love it, others totally hate it. We love it. Been here for 30 years and wouldn’t live anywhere else.
By the way, did I mention no humidity, no mosquitos, no chiggers, no poison ivy, no lawn to mow etc.
Likewise here in New England. 2 days in a row without some rainfall has been rare this year. And humid!!!North east Indiana seems to be the wettest summer I remember in a long time
Give it time. I'm sure some well-meaning person of northern European heritage will point out the obvious exploitation in the name of your state.First I’ve heard about it!
So far, so good. Only .08” so far.Ive been seeing a lot of footage of flooding in the CA desert. Orezok I hope everything's going ok for you and yours.
