Unbeknown to me her Father always called her Scooter ever since she was a little bitty thing.

On our first date she was laggin a bit behind so I said "come on Scooter" . She stopped dead in her tracks and said "what did you just call me?

I said scooter.

She then told me know one else had ever called her that before except her dad (who I had not yet met) .
Well our first date has now lasted 18 years (some things are just meant to be) And she is still Scooter to me (and her dad).

My username is the nickname of my unit in Vietnam, the 173d Airborne Brigade, which was known as "The Herd." I also use "herdgrunt" on other networks but was lucky enough to get just 'herd' on this one.
