Exploding tractor battery!

I believe lots of baking soda mentioned before so I'll add another item to the list.

Look for sodium bicarbonate. You will find it is sold in much more bulk pakadgeing for industrial use. So no need to buy boxes and boxes of it. I have a 25 gallon tub of it in my shop for just in case.

By the way sodium bicarbonate is simply the scientific name for baking soda. I can usually find it in bulk for less cost than boxes and boxes of baking soda at the grocery store.

Sam's Club sells an enormous bag of Arm & Hammer baking soda,,
and, the great part, is that it comes in a sealed heavy duty plastic bag,,

It will not get damp and hard, like the stuff in the grocery store type cardboard box,,

My friend was near to burn his home when he left the battery charging in a closed garage. This exploded and the garage had already started burning when he found this after coming back from the milking of cows. He succeeded in extinguishing. Since then, he has come to believe in God.


I won't say anything new, as the TBN crew has said, but still ...

NEVER CHARGE THE BATTERY IN A CLOSED ROOM EVEN IF IT IS WELL VENTILATED. ALWAYS DO IT OUTDOORS, BEYOND THE BUILDINGS.

I usually bring it out and put far away from the house, using an extension cord.
And to prevent explosion during the start-up after recharge, always check the electrolyte level first, top it up with distilled water if necessary.
