It looks like my new B7800 is going to come equipped with on of these toothbars EZ Standard Toothbar , I was just wondering if anyone has one of these and if so what you thought of it. It may be a moot point as that is what they are delivering it with, but I probably have time to change to something else as I believe it will be ordered.

I have one and I love it. The thing I like most about it is that due to the design it slips over the bottom lip of the bucket, both on top and bottom, and make for a very strong setup.

I have worked my pretty hard and never had a problem.

I doubt you will be disappointed. In two years I have not been... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I've added a pic of how I have worked my TB including moving 12 tri-axle loads of fill, with a lot of concrete pieces in it that needed coaxing to their new resting spots...

I have had one on my Mahindra 4110, and you couldn't have it back. I have worked it very hard, popping small tree stumps out of the ground, and scooping dirt. The real nice thing is that with two bolts, off it comes.

Very handy.

Good Luck, Les

Use it and you will learn to love it. With it you can dig several inches deeper and well as pick thinks up into the bucket of the FEL. Good luck.

In addition to all the obvious, it has a side benefit of an "expanded" bucket for carrying yard trash, tree limbs, etc.

I had an experience the other day that was exciting for a tractor owner. I had cut some rather large tree limbs from an oak tree. After dumping the smaller stuff at the edge of the road with my FEL, I went back for the larger stuff for the final load. I could hear the yard waste truck nearing my house. I quickly loaded the FEL and made it down my driveway just in time to meet the waste truck. It was pretty exciting to dump the tree limbs from my FEL into the back of the waste truck. It made my day!

Henro et al: ....Can you coax & lift a good size log rolling against your bucket with those teeth? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Or do you have to get off your seat and help it on? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif RayBee

Awhile back, one of my brothers bought some 34 foot used utility poles from our electric co-op, and I was able to guess about the center of gravity, and pick each one up and load it onto a hay trailer with no help and without getting off the tractor (B2710 with toothbar on the loader). I think those were probably close to the maximum diameter I could have picked up without something to hold them in place while I curled the bucket.

Thanks!! ...BIRD
That's just what I was hoping to hear. Now I'm convinced that I need one.
Have you considered a part time agri-tool salesman job?
I'll vouch for your persuasive demeanor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif RayBee

RayBee,

The teeth do make a difference. How much I am not sure. But more than once I have used them to somehow cause something to roll back against the bucket, and I say, wow! I can't believe I picked that up without getting off the tractor.

Now this is not all the time, but enough to tell me that yes, they do make a difference...without them, since the bucket sides end at the bottom lip, there would be no hope of picking up anything wider than the bucket...at least not for me... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks, Bill for your input. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Do you remember offhand how many teeth are on your 53" bucket, or do you have a different FEL bucket than mine. .... RayBee
