EZ ToothBar - Any Experiences?

Yes, I do remember there are six... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif...actually I did not remember, but guessed seven, but was wrong.

I have attached a front view...I have a 54 inch bucket... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the toothbar is 52.5 inches, and that gives me about 1/4 inch clearance on each side.

While I don't have the same make tooth bar as you're looking at , mines a very great addition to my Fel . As Henro stated it very much helps when picking up somthing that doesn't fit into the bucket . I've found it works very well when loading fire wood . I can get a bigger load than if I didn't have it on . And as for digging . Well , there's no contest .
An Fel is just that without a tooth bar ... A loader . With it , it can do some serious digging . Mind you , It's not a dozer . But it sure expands the capabilities of an Fel . John

Well, with all the ringing endorsements I guess I will leave the order as it stands.

Thanks everyone for your input. BTW, the B7800 it will be attached to will arrive Friday or Saturday of this week - can't wait. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I read about tooth bars all the time, but when I asked my local Deere salesman at the dealer about one for my 770 he acted like he didn't know what the heck I was talking about it. It was strange because he's very knowledgable.

If I ever get one, I think I'll bring it in and drop it on his toes.

Joe I just have to comment on your statement that the salesman was very knowledgable. Maybe he was about some things, but it's hard to believe he didn't know about toothbars. I guess he doesn't belong to this forum! I wouldn't go back to not having a toothbar unless you were holding a gun to my head, and then you might look away and I'd gouge you with it before I got it off the bucket! LOL. John

When I was looking for my toothbar I called the local John Deere, Kubota and New Holland dealership, none of them knew what I was talking about. So one call to the dealer who I bought my tractor from, he is also a member of TBN, and it was ordered and supposed to get it this week. He is 80 miles away though so that is why I called the local guys first.

Mine will be a Woods 66" for under $300. Anybody have a Woods toothbar and tell me what kind of luck you have out of it.?

I ordered one of these too. I must've measured the bucket about 50 times to make sure I got it right.

I also had to educate my dealer on what one was and what it was for and where to get it. I think it's one of those things (like BHs) that's much more common with TBNers than the general tractor buying public.

As far as cost I was quoted around $350 with shipping for a 59 1/4-1/2". That's the standard duty one, that is what the mfg recommends for a CUT. Not sure how much the heavy duty one would've been.

I was quoted $314.00 for a 54" plus about $50.00 in shipping for the ez toothbar
