RonMar - Too lazy to look up breakout force in manual , it has picked up all I asked it to. You can see some action shots in Projects forum of boom pole , Title "BARN going up" last post was 11/16/05 I think
Angle where main mast meets short mast is 45 degrees. The tall main mast is 10 feet long, the short horizontal piece with lifting loop from Tractor Supply is 3 feet 4 inches long. I used 2" x 4" schedule 80 heavy wall tubing. Also note in pics that the long vertical mast is at a slight forward angle to the frame that mounts to Front End Loader (FEL) . I do not know what that angle is but made it so that when FEL is curled all the way up (FEL Quick attach frame tilts toward tractor past vertical) the main mast is vertical. Hope that helps.

I think it is about 21' and the last 5' is a slip in extension with the snatch block wheel in it, when needed for extra height.

The main pole is 16' and ends just past the upper hooks shown in this picture. It is made of 2" schedule 80 pipe with 3/4 sucker rod truss. I have raised the rear of the tractor with a 1000 lb rear counterbalance & the load attached at the 16' point with the boom parallel to the ground & so far nothing has broken.
