Farm UTV's.....Mule or Ranger...or other?

My father is on his 4th Polaris since I purchased my Gator. (2) Sportsman/Big Boss 6x6es, (1) Ranger 6x6 side by side and a 2016 Ranger 4x4 side by side.

(1) Big Boss and both Rangers still in the family. 4x4 was always loud since new and died last year. Motor blew, no oil in crankcase, don’t know where it went. $800 later... new motor, much quieter.

Gator still rolls on after all these years.

I've never heard any complaints about the old Gators. They were designed to be used by farmers. For pure work tasks. With no bling. Very good machines.

Yes, I got turned off when they started putting single cylinder Briggs in the new ones.

I can only imagine what it would cost to replace mine and I probably wouldn’t be able to stand on the roof!!

My neighbor cattle rancher has an old Gator that I doubt has spent a night under cover.

I struggle to see how 12yr old original tires survived your heavy use?

I think your Mule is more than up to the task of handling your work.

The tires were literally bald, and I told the guy that bought it that they had tons of plugs shoved in the tread and sidewalls and I aired it weekly... If he wanted them to hold air, put tubes in or buy tires.

If I had to buy another today, I would look into the little Jap mini trucks. The UTVs have just become a suckers market.

Another vote for the mule, mine has been problem free.







The only negative was the oil filter location, but this mod makes changing it easy.
