FarmTrac Troubles

Out of curosity-did LS Cable (LS Mtron) send this survey packet to Montana and McCormick dealers? In the survey that was sent to the Farmtrac dealers-it had questions asking about Montana and McCormick as well as Escort. Just wonder how many different groups got the survey to fill out. We Farmtrac dealers have also been receiving phone calls and also personal visits from the consulting company that is conducting the survey for LS Mtron.
As always, lots more questions than answers to be found these days.......I say beware to all equipment dealers!!

Case1570 -- We are not going away, just making sure that big T does not sink other customers/dealers on their evil path to acquire the most toys.

I love your spirit! No Sir, we are *not* going away! And yes, their evil path... indeed.

SESS -- did LS Cable (LS Mtron) send this survey packet to Montana and McCormick dealers?

Very, very smart line of questioning!
Although LS seems quite honorable, TFC-related experiences have fueled by skepticism... making me think that Montana and McC dealers may have not been notified intentionally. If they were surveyed, it may tip them off that something's going to happen.

Longtrman -- The book "Tractor Shennagans; A Study In the Life and Times of Farmtrac" by Ole Blue...
1) There will be a book. The way this is going (plus grad studies -- eesh!), it could be awhile.
2) I like the "Ole Blue" tag... it has a trusty standby hound dog inference to it.
3) What a cast of charactors, tons of plots/subplots... plenty of evil, drugs, a smattering of fornication, a load of suspense and just as many facts/information/statues.

RNF and Taxpayer -- Hey Red, think there might be a footnote in ole Blue's book for a couple of good ole Los e anna boys?who knows we may get famous er! are is that notorious????

Yes, the Gumbo protagonists will certainly get some "run"... Who could make up charactors like you fellows?

Famous? Or notorious? Depends upon who the reader is! FNA-related folks may see ya as the former, those with TFC ties may deem the latter. (But the latter... guess what they can do?!)

Ole Blue, I'm very glad to hear you say here in front of all good men and Textron too that you are dedicated to a book. That means as long as there are libraries the story of how Textron treats customers will be available to tell and retell. They might even come up with something meaner to try for an extra chapter.
Thanks much.
Best Ole hound, most sensitive nose, and dedicated tracker. Never lost a crook yet.

Everyone knows as much as I do.

LS Mtron was LS Cable, was LG Cable. Same people, same goals.

There is a survey out to all Farmtrac dealers by mail, personal visit, and internet based. It did not go out to M and McC dealers. First question was what dealerships you had at the time. Only listed FNA, M, and McC. If you checked (mail) or clicked (internet) M or McC you were routed to the back page (mail) or last question (internet). That read basically, thanks for answering one question. Good day. This survey was for Farmtrac dealers only.

I don't know what, if anything, should be read into it because of this.

The LS product is excellent and I have nothing but respect for the current management people at Montana and McCormick.

I look forward to some future guidance from M and McC. Both need to be active in their communication with dealers. The fear of the unknown is often more damaging than the actual event. Swift dialog with dealers to belay their concerns should be the order of the day.

I have spoken to both M and McC today. I wish them the best in dealing with the opportunities ahead.

Tim
