Hmmmmmmmm ....seeing the snow throw 40 feet in the air , seeing a 4 inch tree pulverized to chips, seeing a field of scrub brush and weeds flattened , seeing a garden tilled smooth, seeing a well manicured lawn,..........I guess I like them all, they all show me changes I can make on my own without a contractor.

Dragoneggs: favorite vs most useful could be two very different things. And each operator had different needs. A snow blower sounds like loads of fun, with a cab tractor, but I have, nor need, either.

Fun thread though!
Yeah I chose 'favorite' over 'useful' for the FUN factor! I thought snow blower would be #1. Kinda wish we got snow enough to justify that toy!

Just saw this thread. In the last ten years or so, I have about 800 hours on our current tractor (Kubota L3800) and its predecessor (Kubota M5400). My 3ph implements are the rotary mower, a finish mower I sold, a tiller and a sickle mower. I also have a PHD that I haven't used in a long time. I estimate that of the 800 hours seat time, around 300 hours have been spent with the mowers. I think that the most seat time has been spent using the FEL--to move things, clear ground, haul things, etc. And I have used a lot of time with the box scrape and blade scrape.

I had an L35 years ago and swapped the backhoe out regularly for a PHD,a brush hog, but my favorite was the Harley rake! Now I have a BX2360 to use around my house and by far my favorite is the leaf blower, being able to mow AND blow the leaves saves me a TON of time and i can make some monster leaf piles for the kids to jump in too....

Wow! I guess I got a heck of a deal at just under $20K for mine and they threw in a hoe and a rake!

My bush hog used to stay on tractor most of the time, but then I got a finish mower two years ago and it stays on the tractor most of the time now. So those two would be the most used implements for me, but as for favorite, I like digging in the ground the best. Nothing like the smell of freshly turned earth lol. I like using the disc harrow, the cultivator, and the middle buster the most. Those kinds of tools really give you a sense of the power your tractor has, until you snag a big arse root and it comes to a neck snapping stop!!

It is a Giant Vac. It works good but it takes a lot of power to run it and my BX is on the low end of the horsepower rating they recommend. When I blow and mow at the same time if I go up a slight hill I have it really bogs down if you're trying to go to fast, but overall I am very happy with it.

I use the PTO more often then not...

Favorite implement depends on the season. Snow blowing (rear mount) is fun (especially now that I have a cab tractor). Spring, Summer and early Fall, it's the finishing mower...and occasionally, the chipper
