That's good to hear that the Bulldog loaders use standard fittings and hoses. That is well thought out for the US/Canada market if the owner can quickly repair minor problems and get back to work. Anybody know about Vtek?vn tractor in the Dallas area... do handle parts for the vtek loaders. They do not handle parts for the Bulldog loader. These are different company's.
I have never needed parts for my Bulldog loader but do know the fittings on cylinders and valve are common jic hydraulic fittings with standard 1/4" hydraulic hose ...
LCI Products in Wills Point Texas does handle parts or the Bulldog loaders. Like $190 or so for a cylinder. Don't know whether that is good or bad. I'd probably rebuild.
I had one curl cylinder rebuilt and it cost about the same as that LCI replacement, $165 as I recall. He said he had to straighten the rod. I wasn't aware it was bent, to put the best interpretation on that as I can. So for the other curl cylinder I bought the seals and did it myself for under $10. This was easy - after I had a 48" pipe wrench to unscrew the cap off the end of the cylinder.
Tip if you do this yourself - leave the end of the cylinder, and then the rod, attached to the tractor so you have something to unscrew against as you remove the cap and then the nut holding the piston to the rod. Aside from the giant wrench needed, this was as simple as say replacing a battery.
