An update...

I have found that the Italian manufacturer Salami offers a 'Perkins Motor' flange on their 2PE series pumps.

They have good tech specs in their datasheet and the flange measurements match the original Perkins flange. Only issue is... the technical drawings of the flange are slightly different than the original Perkins flange. May be OK.

They also offer a 10-tooth splined shaft. The size looks right but the length of the shaft from mounting surface is not right. (They may not be reflecting the use of the Perkins flange in the drawing and measurement). Original sticks out approx .6 inches... their spec and drawing shows 1.4 inches.

Will have to contact pump dealer for info.

Thanks!

An update... Still waiting!

Have heard nothing from TYM regarding when the ordered hydraulic gear pumps will arrive. Received the ordered mounting o-rings for the pumps... just no pumps.

Dealer has heard nothing from TYM regarding the status of the pumps and been unable to get info about the ETA. I've called TYM myself to try and get info but no one will call me back since I'm not a dealer.

So far, the Salami gear pumps haven't panned out either. Several technical questions asked of the rep but no definitive answers from Salami engineering yet.

Sigh...

I feel for you MikeT, I went through similar issues with my hydraulic failure. The first gear and pump I received were both wrong, then the correct gear had to come from Korea. I ended up order a new tractor while I was in parts limbo.
I hope things work out soon for you.

Mike

Thanks!

It's very frustrating for sure since I have no info from TYM as to whether they are working on it or what. The dealer can't get any info from them either apparently.

I received the correct drive gear (39 tooth, helical with 10-tooth hole on one side, 12-tooth hole on the other) from Caterpillar. (My TYM dealer said that TYM was no longer offering that gear as a replacement part). Fine... I got that from CAT. But I need the 10-tooth gear pump (with Perkins mounting flange).

(Why o why did CAT design the drive gear with only a 10-tooth spline hole (12-tooth hole on the other side)? They could have used a more common 9-tooth spline hole (11-tooth on the other side). Or made it for a slotted shaft hole instead. This would have made getting a new gear pump much easier.)

I've continued to pursue getting a gear pump elsewhere but always seem to run into snags.

I have found the Korean pump manufacturer Joyang with the exact needed pump... but I can find no way to buy from them. All inquiries have gone unanswered.

The Italian manufacturer Salami offers a 10-tooth spline shaft and the Perkins Flange... but not on the same pump! (So I have blown their mind by asking for both to work together on the same pump!).

I can get other gear pumps with 10-tooth spline shaft... but the manufacturers don't offer the Perkins Flange as an option!

I have thought about buying a 10-tooth pump with the wrong flange, and then removing the flange and installing my old Perkins Flange off the old pump... not sure if this would actually work.

It's absolutely insane that a $50K tractor is made worthless by a stripped spline shaft and no replacement pump/parts can be gotten!

Thanks again.

OK, a final update on this issue.

I received the proper replacement gear pumps from TYM via my dealer (Thank you TYM and dealer!!). The new pumps are Joyang from Korea. I have installed the new pumps and the hydraulics problem is solved.

During this hydraulics issue, I discovered that there are other pumps available (from other tractor manufacturers) which will work and match the 10-tooth spline shaft and Perkins flange mount on the main pump as well as the 12-tooth spline shaft on the steering pump. (These other pumps are interfacing with basically the same engine and drive gear setup so I know they will work). This route would have required some re-plumbing of hydraulic lines so I'm glad that TYM came through with the proper parts.

Thanks again to all for the ideas and thoughts on this... I really appreciate it.
