Fences are great- I really like yours!. We had one long boundary clearly marked. Our side was finished mowed and his side was a field. When it was hayed, the machinery was run over our clean short grass- rutting it. I put markers in and fiberglass posts to show the line between us. He had some woods work done which led to more ruts and our post being run down. I finally ran a single white electric fence tape between us, it has never been touched, even though it has never been plugged in. Fences do make good neighbors!

I'm wondering if you should have removed all the bark from the posts? We have locusts posts too, and all the bark was stripped off before install.
Just curious what others think.

I like the rope too, looks very nice and should last a long time.

Thanks for all the compliments. I just added another 270' of fence but haven't had the time to take and post the pics. I have been building a road ( another thread )through the property to a clearcut where a home will eventually will be built. I will hopefully get some pics of the rest of the fence and post them sometime next week. So far, the rope has held up well. No issues with it. What is pretty cool is that it is a different fence every day. When it is humid, the rope kind of sags a little bit and has a droopy look. When it is dry out it is like a piano wire.
