I would think lumber prices are not displayed currently due to a large segment of the population having high blood pressure or heart conditions.

It's the same thing...I would think lumber prices are not displayed currently due to a large segment of the population having high blood pressure or heart conditions.
Right.. Or it could be because of price fluctuations!
It's not the one-time $1400 check. It's the weekly unemployment benefit. Add it all up and you can make well over $500 a week on unemployment. That's $26K per year, or = to about $13 an hour working 40 hours a week for 50 weeks a year.I can’t imagine someone’s life if a $1400 stimulus check keeps you from taking a job.
Then again, I can’t imagine an adult working full time at a minimum wage job.
If $1400 represented a month of income @$10/hour, then time will be running out and folks will flood the workplace.
Around here seems all restaurants are pretty full and they have lots of folks working.

I was doing the math when my hours were reduced and others said you can stay home if you fear getting COVID and come out about the same. It's not the one-time $1400 check. I think it's been discussed on TBN many times over the years.
A single head of household (man or woman) with three children can get something like $34K in benefits in my state. That's = to about $17 an hour at 40 hours a week. Why would anyone in their right mind take a job for $15 an hour to make less working and spending 40 hours a week away from home?

We've got some people playing that card at my employer. They're the same ones that won't get vaccinated. Good grief.I was doing the math when my hours were reduced and others said you can stay home if you fear getting COVID and come out about the same.
For several weeks I was the only Surgery employee collecting any check based on hours worked...
Someone still had to be onsite for essential things...
I was happy to be contributing...
I don't know what it's like now but last year people were making the equivalent of 50K/yr with the various unemployment offerings. That's more than a lot of people our age have made in their lives. It's not the one-time $1400 check. It's the weekly unemployment benefit. Add it all up and you can make well over $500 a week on unemployment. That's $26K per year, or = to about $13 an hour working 40 hours a week for 50 weeks a year.

They are "testing" your card company. If the charge goes through, and your bank doesn't catch it, then they go off and have some fun with it.
