Congratulations on your "new" tractor ! It reminds me of my old Ford 1100 . I would check the top lynchpin on the left side liftarm linkage (It looks like the liftarm is "captured" by a piece of metal instead of a lynchpin.). I would also check the status of the gasket on the front axle Differential Case/Final Reduction Case. Overall the tractor looks pretty good to me (IMHO) ! We used to call those spinners "suicide knobs" ! Jay

Seems like a lot of older tractors have the suicide knobs to help with out power steering.

They may help??? but when that four wheel drive catches a rut etc. it sure can make for blue air!

...Looking at the three point I'd suggest the front box was for weight to keep the front wheels on the ground when a heavy reap implement was used....

Is that a weight box up front or a front PTO driving the mower?

I passed on a B7100 with FEL+BH before I bought my B6100. In hindsight, I should have spent the extra $2500. Good luck with yours!

I think your "box" out front is the guard for the electric clutch pto.

Is the electric clutch PTO used with the mowing deck or just there for something else?

On my 7100, I use it to run a belly mower and a snowblower.

This is my blower set up. You can just see the pto clutch behind the hydraulic cylinder for the blower.

aaaa another powersteering canidate even with p/s i still use the sucide knob i feel "naked" without having it on the wheel. i am so acustomed to having it there
