We've had some smaller tornados that did tremendous damage in a small area. Even with the small area of damage, it's hard to tell where you are sometimes, even decades later. It goes to show you just how much our brain relies on landmarks for navigation.
Anyone every grow up with a 4-way stop sign at the same intersection for decades, then a stop LIGHT is installed, and as you roll up to the green light, you still step on the brake because of the years of familiarity with the stop SIGN?
