here's a pic, not much damage at all, nothing to brag about anyways.
It is nice to hear other people "oops" stories too.
I should probably mention that I also slightly crunched the front grill on our Subaru a few years ago too.

From the thumbnail I could not tell what the black thing was and was thinking that was the damage, once I clicked on the photo I realized what I was looking at. Good job!

3 years now and I still haven't bonked the garage door. But it's just a matter of time before I do. I am so certain that I will do this that I have put off fixing the door, knowing that the day I fix it will be the day before I hit it.

Just in case you're curious, my wife doesn't buy this explanation of why the garage door still looks so cr_ppy.

Mine fits into my big garage with the ROPs up...Not in the house garage where it lives...Have to catch myself every so often...If I forget it's gonna hurt since my foundation is covered with cultured stone...It'll probably rain down on me if I forget.

I stopped short yesterday with les than an inch. So I know that sooner or later I will hit it. But my dad borrowed it and hit his 3 times with it up. I guess that the older you get the smarter you are not. Its all good.

I've already spec'd out a 12x9 door for one side of the garage I'm starting to build at the end of the month so I don't join the club. However more than once I've tried to push the dump truck sideways after dumping a load of dirt into it. I figure a gnome most have put my Backhoe into forward after I shifted into reverse.

You know just using the few brain cells I didn't fry long ago in my youth. I got to thinking after reading all of your stories how to come up with some sort of warning system. So here is my first ideas. Harbor freight has a driveway warning system that they sell for about $20. You could put some shield over the sensor to minimize it's sensitivity. Mount that on your door mantle to rail. Then have the receiver in the tractor with you. So as you approach the garage door it senses the ROPS and gives you a audible warning in the tractor.
A lower tech way is to mount fiberglas warning flags horizontally either on the ROPS or your garage door jam. As you are driving up the flag waving in your face should remind you...
My brain is still thinking of ways. Radio shack sells lot's of goodies for photo electric beams that you could come up with and use to warn you.. Of course I am an electronic geek and like that stuff. My tractor sits in a 14' tall canopy building so I don't need the warning. Hey another thought came to mind is a horizontal flag pole out from the garage header and hang some wind chimes. That way it looks nice and if you hit them you might stop in time.

Before my neighbor Ron moved here he had a mower with ROPS. His neighbor thought it would be funny to hide Rons mower with ROPS in Rons garage. Wasn't funny, ROPS was higher that header.
I've kept several Kubotas in this building built for a BX2200 Kubota. BX's B's and an L. One of them was a tad to tall with the Top cover.

Having done it a few times I finally "lower" my ROPS. Cut and rewelded the upper portion. Now it clears by 1/2" Nicely!!!

Done the same thing to my B. The folder is 4" higher than a fixed?????

I have 2 garage doors on my workshop (former 4 stall barn) and dug down the back opening to allow clearance for my new BX25. My wife suggested I buy a new door and opener too! :D Door ETA is first week of May! I just have to make sure I never drive into the front with my BX25! Back door only.

Did that once backing into storage building to park for the day. Did the wheely, same wtf's going on experience. Dented molding and got paint on roll bar which interestingling was about impossible to remove. I obviously imparted a lot of energy on that one spot.

How do you do a wheelie if you're backing in?

Hello, and I thought I was the only one, after doing little damage to exterior I didn't want this to happen again so here's my solution, I hope it works, if I get the attachment to show up the sign was only 17.00 It hangs right in front of my face so I can't miss it.

See, this is why it's important to have a LOT of toys, so when I destroy something, I've still got stuff to play with. Otherwise, what am I going to do, read a book? Please.
