The roof is just plain old corrugated tin. Both the ridge roll, there's not an easy way to do a ridge vent. I did use cool deck to sheet the roof so it should help keep the temp down and the house is oriented do that prevailing summer winds will blow into one ridge vent and out the other so it should pull some draft. If it does end up super hot, I'll add an attic fan.

Moving along today, on my lunch break.

I'm sure you will be fine. I'm always over thinking a lot of things as I see them.

Where we ended up. I need more trim to get finished. It's a great feeling to have siding going up. Hopefully I can go get the trim tomorrow, if not I'll run the electrical for the A/C so I'll be all ready for those guys to come start it up when the siding is done. The weather is supposed to be really nice this week, high 60's to mid 70's everyday.IMG_20180107_143539613_HDR.jpgIMG_20180107_143612607_HDR.jpgIMG_20180107_143847356.jpgIMG_20180107_143851603_HDR.jpg

Your siding is a perfect match!!! Did you get it from the same place? Once you are done, it's gonna like like it's always been there.

It's just standard PBU panel. I got it from MBCI but others make it, Mueller, etc. I'm not sure who Morgan gets it from, MBCI didn't have an exact color match, that could be because the original building is about 20 years old and has sunfaded though. My wife picked a complimentary color, it matches well but we'll probably end up covering up all the old siding when we add the kitchen on the front of the original building. I'm happy with the way it's turning out, it requires precise cutting for the doors and windows but not having any seams looks nice and it's faster and cheaper than doing Hardie and painting it.

Big day yesterday, got the AC ductwork finished up and everything connected and turned on.

I won't run it until we finish drying in the addition, I can close off the vents in there and have a 2nd return in the existing shed. It's still nice to have that done and now I can go ahead and fully close everything in.

Hoping to get all.the siding and roofing finished up today and tomorrow. The last front that blew through tore up some of the tarpaper on the roof so I'm going to have to redo some of that as well.IMG_20180112_120038886_HDR.jpgIMG_20180112_120338124_HDR.jpgIMG_20180112_121712149_HDR.jpgIMG_20180112_121717512_HDR.jpgIMG_20180112_121956270.jpgIMG_20180112_150819325.jpgIMG_20180113_071314786.jpgIMG_20180111_150441599.jpg

Made some progress today, just have the upstairs door and window to get around on the front and the rest is straight cuts. We'll either finish it tomorrow, or get VERY close. Should have the roof on Monday or Tuesday.IMG_20180113_160259065.jpgIMG_20180113_161544766_HDR.jpg

Forecast for Tyler and the surrounding area is for an inch of snow Monday night, Tuesday morning. Hope you don't get any of it there, and that you get it dried in before then!!!
