Finally used the Brush Cutter today

I also need to find some bullet-proof tires for the brushcutter. One of my solid rubber tires got ripped off the rim.

After going through the same thing I put a pair of Albion Texite solid phenolic industrial caster wheels on the rear of my PT 1845 roughcut mower. End of problem.

Here's a link to my web page showing how I modified them to fit. They come set up for a one inch shaft and I had to bush them down. They being narrower than the old wheels, I had to make up some spacers too. It was a bit of effort but well worth it in the long run. I've since replaced the front caster wheels too, using ZTR solid rubber wheels. Maybe you can find something similar that will fit right out of the box. Here's a link to the MSC Industrial Supply catalog page for the Albion caster wheels.
