Finally...

I did it....I finally purchased a Jinma 254. I got, what I thought, was a good deal...I paid $5399 for it (25HP 4x4). I bought it locally at a Rural King under their TractorKing badge. I was looking at a FarmPro but liked Rural King's service department. I now have to wait for it to arrive with anticipated arrival date of May 1. I'm going to use it on my 5 acres to transform it from farm ground to lawn. I do have a question...will I be able to use a 72" finish mower with the 254 or is a 60" the biggest I can go?
Any comments would be appreciated.

That's interesting. The RK stores around here originally sold that machine for $6999. Later they dropped it to $5999 (after I bought one, of course). But I see now they've pulled the 254 clean off their website. Sounds like $5399 may have been a closeout price.

Just out of curiosity, how many hours were on it at purchase time?

I have a Jinma 284 which has the same HP as the 254 at 540 PTO speed and mine handles a 6' finish mower fine.

You got that at crate tractor prices! Good deal. RK has had some mixed feedback. Make sure you give it a thorough going over, on delivery. Enjoy that new tractor.
