find year model using tractor serial number

looking at a john deere with ser #T113R 129749R was told it is a 2010 but side covers have 2030 but painted over tractor looks larger than 2010 can some help? THANKS

If it's a 2010 run, don't walk, run. 2010 were made 1961-1965 Serial numbers 10001 started in 1961, 58186 in 1965, no "R" on the end. 2030 serial numbers ended in L or T.
2030 were made 1972-1975 start was 134700T in 1972. In 1974 140000L started along side on 187301T
Are you sure you have a frame serial number and not an engine serial number?

I assume a John Deere 850? If so it was made in 1980

yea i am thinking the T113R is a 3020 and w/out the R on the end it would be a 1969 i believe i don't know much about them other than they have green paint and are 4 cyl engines i believe -

I grew up on a 49B JD and a Farmall 400 so we didn't get anything newer until a Farmall 560 then 706 - never updated the Deere

I read on here somewhere that they didnt have 2 stage clutch until 1984 and mine has 2 stage. Is the year 1980 correct and the info about clutch wrong?

I am not sure what the S means (850S). I based age on compact JD 850 that has the Yanmar 3 cylinder 25HP (gross, not PTO) diesel.

Two stage clutch came out serial number 16001+ and up. 1984 models started at 16006. No idea how you have a two stage clutch?????
