Here in Southern Oregon , Fire Season is already in effect since it has really dried out fast , like California . Yesterday while at My Moms house which is close to the Rogue Valley airport , A Fire Fighting aircraft was dispatched to a Fire 80 miles east . This was a Photo my Sisters Son took from my Moms garden area .

They have already called out air support here in the Bay Area...

The sad thing is most fires were not from natural or even accidental causes.

Last week air support was picking up water from Lake Merrit in downtown Oakland for a canyon fire up in the hills.

Great picture flying low...

Luckily, here in the Spokane, WA area we are still under the influence of a really great two day continuous rain. It won't be long, however, and we'll be dry as popcorn.

It's been a strange year being in a drought and all.

Really had no growth until after the very late rains.

Starting to take a toll on trees... especially Monterey Pines.

We're dry over in this corner too. Best chance of rain in the next 10 days is 40% chance of scattered t-storms Wednesday.

Last years leaves and dead grass are dry underneath the new growth like it was August.
