( Is the First Choice a Midwest product left over from last summer or some other manufacturers product? I know of 3 TBN advertizers that have the current Midwest BB20-60 for $325. A CCM tiller is available for $945 and gear driven and 60 HP gear box.

Got any used ones? $1k is a bit more than my budget.

I bought a 48" First Choice tiller from Sweet Tractors last year and couldn't be happier with both. The tiller is well made and works great. Working with Ken was great. I live in WI and they are in KY and I got it deilvered to my door in only 4 days from when I ordered it.

Sweet is one of the best dealers around selling on the net. He too get busy this time of year. Selling equipment is a little different than a McDonalds drive up window.

I checked into getting my attachments from Sweet Tractor and got a response within hours - Thanks Ken! I'll be in touch. . .

I assume the Midwest BB is not available because they quoted for an Atlas BB - ever heard of it, anyone?

Last night I looked for about 30 min. for some info on the FC products. My mistake - should have come to this forum. How much volume (cubic feet) does the BB-3072 hold? Where can I find the specs on these box blades documented (e.g. height of back board)?

Atlas is Darrell Harp- Red Bay, AL. also Big Bee

If that one was made by Midwest (model number seems to match) you can go to Midwest's website. Midwest's box blades Not sure this will have the exact specs you are looking for, however. First choice has a site. Did you try there already?

I have an ATLAS 4' Box on my Massey 1215. It is well built and heavy duty for a small implement. The finish gets an A- and the rippers have two settings, up or down. I paid $300.00 for it when I bought the machine in 1999. I have leveled a lot of ground and put in several driveways with it and have no complaints. I can't say the same for the Hitchcock-Cambell tilt/angel blade I bought at the same time. Poorly made and very rough finish.

Midwest and by extension FC BB moldboard height is 17".

Volume is somewhat misleading. A well designed box with proper roll on the moldboard will transport more material easier than the volume of the box might dictate. Rolling material along is easier than dragging it, plus has the added benefit of not spilling out over the top of the moldboard and sides and transferring a larger volume of material with less strain. Just a thought.
