Jim,

Thanks for the clarification. I'd read here that FC was the Kioti supplier so apparently that information was erroneous. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Jerry,

Wasn't it you who saw one at the show in Louisville and even posted a picture of it? I seem to recall something about a hydraulic top link, too. Was that there also?

The quick hitch is happening, quickly - so to speak /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. Just want to make sure we don't do a "me too" on this one. What you saw at Louisville was a good start and you may not notice much difference in the production models visually. But internally it is cleaned up significantly. We've been listening to TBN and think we will solve several situations with our quick hitch. Also getting our legal ducks in a row for patent application on the quick hitch as well as our other designs has taken more time than we would have liked.

Jim,

Are you doing a hydraulic top link, too?

CCI,You seem to be very knowlegable about this stuff, what is your backround?
The Simca URL didn't work, does it look right to you? Thanks,Mike

Gary,
Yes I posted pictures of the quick hitch, and the top link as well. What I saw there looked like that's what I need to be able to easily hook up the rear attachments. If Jim says he's making changes to the hitch, only means he's listening to all of you about what you DON'T like about the ones you see or already have.
The only thing I needed changed was that orange colored paint he put on it.

Jerry, looks like that is a self contained hyd. TL. Is it? Would be nice for us hyd-less folks.

Dob,
I don't think it is self-contained. What you see on the top is a check valve for safety.

cci, You seem very knowledgeable about this business. From all I can gather, It seems that First Choice is a 1 man operation? Someone named Peiter. If this is so? Do you have any insight into this business structure and the future of the company? What happens if something unforseen happens to a 1 man operation---how would First Choice warranties be took care of on machines sold in the past. Would the company survive?

On the First Choice equipment that Midwest manufactures, the warranty is handled by Midwest. Definately not a one man operation here. Can't speak as to the rest of the First Choice machines.

I know what you mean. That lovely green they have is so much more attractive. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

machinedoc,
You will have to ask FC. I'd say only FC can process their own warranty claims. Who knows if FC is the next Enron. Ask their accountant Doug Pope CPA - Pittard Perry & Crone Inc.

cci or anyone: Any idea, Why the change toward a more negative preception of the "First Choice" company and products within the last few weeks? I have monitered TBN all spring and summer and that company was all the rage. Is there something in the air that TBN enthusiasts should know about, other than a low quality unfinished website? Ha-Ha. Could it be that Jim at "Midwest" can sell the same ground engage equipment and rotary cutters direct, for less money?

My experience, both from reading here and dealing with them (FC) is that they are simply experienceing astronimical growth. Remember that commerical when they little company launched their website, and they watched the orders come in, at 5-50 orders, they were thinking they were a bust, then they picked up, and they were happy, then they went into the thousands and they realized they could not keep up with it? That seems to me to be the issue with FC. I see little negative comment on the product itself - at least from those able to get one!
