I've never bought a hydraulic hose at a dealer.....there are 3-4 places around here, including NAPA auto parts stores that make them on the spot. Given they always have to SEE the fittings on what I bring in, I really think ordering most hoses online would be a disaster.
My FEL on the Yanmar has blown so many hoses, the last time I went to the hydraulic shop, I had a complete set of extra hoses made (less than you'd think, several of them are the same fitting/length) so I can repair quick and get back to work.....they always blow right in the middle of what you are doing.
Hydraulic trouble I've had as much as anything is cylinders leaking, the top 'curl' cylinders to be exact. One blew the rod end completely out of the tube, damaging the threads so it wasn't repairable. Under warranty, they replaced it....with one that leaked down slowly (didn't do that before replacing that one).
Finally got bad enough, (and out of warranty) I simply bought a new cylinder from the dealer, and a couple of packing kits....new cylinder about $140.....packing kits $80
ea....go figure that one ? Now the other side is leaking enough it leaves a circle of fluid on the shop floor, so I guess it's time to try one of the packing kits on the spare, bad, cylinder I have. Apparently, Yanmar uses the cheapest supplier of hydraulic cylinders/etc....only way I can explain that much failure on a 4 year old tractor. Owned a New Holland tractor for 14 years and never had a bad cylinder on it, and only a couple of hose replacements in that time.
