Well I hope that Santa Claus brings a new Kubota to all, and to all a good night!
Ya know, my BX deserves something for Xmas! Gonna have to give that some thought. Maybe an orange colored Stihl battery chainsaw to ride along as his buddy!Well I hope that Santa Claus brings a new Kubota to all, and to all a good night!
Read all the messages and IMO the OP was misled by the dealer when he was told to wait and the dealer ought to make good on this!
I can see the logic of the Kubota rep, but there is another factor that's being disregarded by Kubota & the dealer, "Customer Acquisition Cost" Kubota & Dealer ought to take this into consideration, what it would cost them to replace this customer and also this customer is a "Repeat" customer much more valuable than a one off. Looks like this is not being considered by Kubota and is being taken for granted by the dealer. Alas this trend is spreading and wil lead to more business failures.
I've read and re-read the opening post a few times and I'm still not certain of the chain of events or who said what to who.
Did the dealer say 'We're too busy right now to check on it so just use it, you'll be fine'.
Or was it more like:
Dealer; 'We're really busy and it might be a few days.'
Customer; ' I can't really leave it right now, can I bring it in later since I don't really use the brakes?'
Dealer; 'Yeah, that should be OK'.
I'm not sure it should make that much difference though. It still sounds like a mechanical defect rather than customer mis-use.
This would be bad. But when I believe I’m right, I tend to make my point.
Pay the dealer to “fix it”.
Take it home.
Drive around with a heavy foot on the brakes for a couple days.
Call the dealer and tell them something still isn’t right.
Have them fix it on their dime this time.
Demand refund and apologies for first time.
