Thanks to all for the help.

After much go round with LS they finally sent me this. Don't know why they didn't just tell me this in the first place.

I'm wondering now about having bought an LS...

I hear you, shop manuals are half the fun of doing projects ourselves. They are good for way more than "torque and gear lash". A shop manual has electrical schematics, error message definitions, hydraulic pressures along with a hydraulic flow diagram. Also diagnostic charts & test procedures along with test ports and expected parameters...on and on.
There's a lot of information and often wonderful exploded diagrams. Some of the older shop manuals were works of art.

But I wouldn't let some minor corporate manager's decision turn me against a good tractor, because the chances are good that the folks who designed and built it have no knowledge of their BS that the execs are shoveling your way.

I would find a way to bring their oversight to their executive board's attention. And if they didn't change their business model to include their customer I would buy a different brand in the future.

That has been LS’s corporate philosophy on service manuals for as long as I have had mine.

The dealer I purchased mine from downloaded a copy of the parts and service manual- you may have to keep trying other dealers or locate one of the online manual providers who has obtained a copy.

Don’t let it adversely impact your opinion of the tractor. LS is not alone in making OEM service manuals difficult and/or price prohibitive to obtain.

I'm caught in a back and forth between my dealer and the manufacturer (LS).

Namely, the dealer won't sell me a service manual, and LS tells me to buy it from the dealer.

I can't get through to talk to a human at LS and their return emails to me are vague and inclusive.

Anybody else have a similar problem and a possible solution?

Thanks in advance
I'd call the dealer up and tell them , If you won't get me a manual come get the tractor. That might shake their grates enough to get you a manual

I too experienced issues with 2 of my local LS Dealers in trying to get service manuals. They only provided a free operators manual via flash drive. They would not give me a full service manual for my XR4046. Since its out of warranty, I will no longer bring to dealers. I had the same dreaded regen shutdown in where the dealer said I needed to replace both emissions canister/regeneration pump plus ECU to the tune of $4500, of course I refused, I already paid an enormous amount for the tractor in the first place. Watched a video on Ytube on how to by pass it but this was after a dealer would clear the codes. I went further and finally managed to figure out how to completely bypass the ECU and emissions. The only things I have lost were Engine temp gauge, RPM gauge, and glow plug usage. The glow plug usage was a main issue for me so that's why I wanted the wiring diagram, but to no avail. I'm sure Ill figure it out too but it seems like LS is playing a John Deere "right to repair" crap. I tell you, last new(er) tractor I will ever buy until the Gov't gets out of regulating tractors and allows owners to fix their own.

This is the industry standard these days that big farmers have been fighting for years. It includes cars and trucks to some degree too. I am so glad to be out of the regulatory system with newer models. But if I was still running my business I would have to find a way around it. I have switched to a passive business that the government isn’t interested in. I have several machines around here but only for my use. They are all before emissions so I can actually depend on them. It’s a sad mess.
