Well, don't get too excited, Countryside uses newsprint /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif for article pages, but published is published no matter what the medium! Chet

Is there any chance this publication has an online presence? It would be nice. Then some of us could puff out our chests with pride and never miss a minute of precious online time while we're at it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For some folks writing is as important and as natural as breathing. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

So naturally our cindi is our nature gal, naturally. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm really kind of overwhelmed by you guys. I never had so many nice people wishing me well at once. It's a great feeling. Harv is right, at least where I'm concerned, writing is ALL I think about, and it's mainly because folks like you say, 'thanks for the smile' or 'good story' etc. Every one of you is as different as night and day. It never ceases to amaze me how one story can provoke, empathy, sympathy, anger, amusement, confusion...every single reaction you can think of. It's mind boggling. Sometimes I think the internet was the worst thing ever invented, and then sometimes I know it is not, otherwise I wouldn't know any of you at all, and that would be horrible. What I can't do in a car with a tank of gas, I CAN do with a phone line and and ISP. You can't beat that. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Morning Cindi,

I know a little about the writing bug. I just don't have it as bad as you. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But I do see friends and others as characters that could be in a story.

One of my character flaws is I go like a wild man for a goal and then when I reach it I've lost interest. I am then chasing another full bore. I wanted real bad to be published, sort of an affirmation that what I had to say and how I said it was important.

Then I was, five months in a row in World Fence News. That was enough. The old "been there, done that, have the shirt and cap" alive and well. I had some fan letters, p-o'd a couple of my compatriots, and generally got it out of my system.

I hope you don't. We would be the losers if you did.
